Spas, Hot Tubs & Whirlpools
What’s difference between a spa and a hot tub? In the past, the
word “spa” referred to a place you would go to visit natural mineral
hot springs. The term “hot tub” originated when people began using
wooden barrels to soak in. These days the two terms are used
interchangeably and refer to all kinds of hot water baths. The term
“whirlpool” is usually reserved for the smaller jetted bathtub units
that are found in many modern home bathrooms.
